Community Connections of Iowa, President - 2020 to present

Created nonprofit in 2020 after a derecho damaged our community. We hold annual Back-to-School Giveaways and free family events throughout the year. I created and maintain a website and Facebook page for the group. I also do fundraising and event planning. 

Meis Communications, Business Owner - 2012 to present

I help authors publish their books through Kindle Direct Publishing by editing their work and go through the process with them.  I also design book covers.

Willis Dady Homeless Shelter, Office Manager - 2022 to present

I am the first in line of communications with maintenance and IT. I do invoicing, accounts payable and receivables, and am the point of contact for most of our vendors.  onboard new employees and enroll them in insurance. I create labor reports each month and complete annual reports and open enrollment for our Simple IRA plan and insurance. 

McGrath Automotive, Benefits Specialist - 2015 to 2022

I onboarded new employees and enrolled them in insurance. I completed the COBRA packet when they were termed, and answered any questions about insurance they might have. I assisted the payroll department and filed all necessary paperwork. 

Tommy's Restaurant, Media Specialist - 2016 to 2020

I created a website and Facebook page for the restaurant, as well as maintained it during the four years I contracted with them. I created an online menu, brochures, table tents, flyers and coupon books for the restaurant, as well. 

Marion Times/Hiawatha Today - Freelance writer/photographer, 2013 to 2019

I wrote community articles and took photographs as assigned. Consistently met deadlines and created a Facebook for Hiawatha Today.
